A superstar whose appeal knew no boundaries, rock-n-roll’s “king” took top billing regardless of his company. Encapsulated with autograph assessed “Authentic” by PSA/DNA, this personal check was composed and signed by Elvis Presley near the end of his abbreviated reign. Drawn from Presley’s personal account at Memphis’ National Bank of Commerce, the document is dated (in Presley’s hand) “Dec. 3 1975” and made out for “300.00” to Dick Grob, a former police officer who was in charge of security for Presley. On the appropriate line, Presley’s blue ballpoint endorsement (signed “E.A. Presley”) projects (“8-9”) strength and clarity. While Presley items have inherent value in any form, signed personal artifacts such as this are fleeting, indeed.
