With resounding success in his every endeavor, American legend Eddie Rickenbacker laid claim to renown in automotive and aviation circles, though his World War I heroics define his legacy perhaps more than any other achievement. This typewritten and signed letter was composed by the flying ace. Rickenbacker’s personal stationery showcases a stars and stripes-themed design and his lofty military title. Dated “June 2.19.” the letter is in response to correspondence Rickenbacker had received from a Michigan man. At the conclusion, Rickenbacker’s black-ink steel tip fountain pen signature projects (“8”) strength and clarity with a small instance of ink migration. Full photo LOA from JSA. More on our website.
