His body and spirit able and willing in his 20th season in the rugged NHL, Hall of Famer Gordie Howe notched career goal No. 600 and helped power the 1965-66 Detroit Red Wings to the Stanley Cup Finals in the penultimate campaign of the “Original 6.” Brandished by “Mr. Hockey” that season, this “Northland” stick was autographed by Howe and (14) of his teammates. The stick features "HOWE" and local “Olympic Sporting Goods Co.” stampings and shows nice game use with original tape and a tiny chip at the toe of the blade. Along the shaft, black marker signatures average (“8”) strength and include: Abel (coach), Bergman, Crashley, Delvecchio, Edwards, Henderson, Howe, Peters, Prentice, D. Roberts, F. Smith, Spencer, Ullman, J. Watson, H. Young. Full photo LOAs from Rich Ellis (for stick) and JSA (for signatures). More on our website.

Note: while the Rich Ellis LOA dates the stick to the 1965-66 season, the autographs date to the 1967-68 season, suggesting that Howe retained the stick and the autographs were applied during the latter campaign.
