Seeing “red” during the post-war years, the 1947 Boston Red Sox were reeling from a World Series setback from the prior October and the 1958 Cincinnati Redlegs were in their fifth season with a new moniker in the wake of the Communist scare. These (2) baseballs are respectively signed by members of those teams. Includes: 1947 Red Sox OAL Harridge signed by (28) with Cronin, Doerr and T. Williams (full JSA); 1958 Reds ONL Giles signed by (20) with Dykes, Haddix and F. Robinson (full PSA/DNA). More on our website.

1947 Boston Red Sox a creamy OAL Harridge ball (grade “7”) with as thin coat of period shellac; signed in blue-ink steel tip fountain pen by (28). The signatures average (“7”) strength and clarity and include: Sweet Spot T. Williams and Fine; North Panel Deal, Pesky, Harris, Jones, Moses, Ferriss and Murphy; South Panel Johnson, D. DiMaggio, Doerr, Dente, Cronin (Manager), Dorish and Klinger; West Panel Partee, Gutteridge, Combs, Culberson, Galehouse, Mele, Smith and Batts; East Panel Stobbs, McGah, Pellagrini and Dobson.

1958 Cincinnati Redlegs an off-white ONL Giles ball (grade “6-7”) signed in blue ballpoint by (20). The signatures average (“5-6”) quality with a few nicer. Includes: Sweet Spot Dykes (manager) and Haddix; North Panel Dropo, Burgess, Pena, Kellner and Bailey; South Panel Grammas, Newcombe, Lawrence and Jeffcoat; West Panel Purkey (“8” strength), Lynch, Miksis, Schmidt and F. Robinson; East Panel Riddle (coach), Ferrick (coach), Thurman and Acker.
