World Series relics from the Deadball Era are scarce in their own right. Couple that characteristic with the Chicago Cubs and the appeal mounts. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this 1910 World Series Game 2 ticket stub is one of two at its tier with only one graded higher. Issued to one of 24,597 spectators at Philadelphia’s Shibe Park, this “LOWER PAVILION” voucher features printed seating/event details and the facsimile signature of Athletics boss Connie Mack. Leaving a (then) record 14 men on base, the Cubs were felled, 9-3 that afternoon. Unbeknownst to all at the time, the North Siders were in the second year of a title drought that currently stands at 103 years. With an uneven admission tear, the item presents nicer than the technical assessment suggests.
