Description

Stanford Pottery of Sebring, OH produced a beautiful series of baseball themed items during its brief period of existence. The offered pair of Chicago Cubs and White Sox lamps are fine representations of Stanfords work. These appealing desk top lamps stand 8 tall and feature 3-1/2 diameter brightly glazed baseballs set upon three legged black metal bases which are designed in Mid-Century Modern style. The baseballs have a lustrous wet look finish highlighted by metallic gold paint on the stiches and the Cubs & White Sox lettering located on the sweet spot positions. These display-worthy implements of illumination are in working condition and show moderate signs of wear which enhance their authentic 1950s period look. Please note that the brown receptacle cord on the White Sox piece has a 2 split section which does not affect its functioning.
