Description

Stunned by the sudden passing of skipper Gil Hodges just days before the season opener, the 1972 New York Mets were further riddled by injuries as they held the division lead as late as July 2 before faltering. This ONL Feeney baseball is autographed by (28) members of that squad. The lightly toned orb (grade 5-6) is home to ballpoint pennings that average (6) quality with keys including: Agee, Berra (manager), Frisella (d.1977), Koosman, McGraw and Seaver. Full photo LOA from JSA.

Sweet Spot Berra (manager) and Mays (5 strength); North Panel Pignatano (coach), Harrelson, Beauchamp, Sadecki, Garrett, Strom and Kranepool; South Panel Marshall, S. Robinson (coach), Barnes, Dyer, Milner, Gentry and Fregosi; West Panel Seaver, Matlack, Koosman, Rauch and Jones; East Panel Frisella (d.1977), Agee, McAndrew, Bowell, McGraw, Grote and Yost (coach)
