Description

In 1907 Augustus Saint-Gaudens designed a $20 gold piece known as the “Double Eagle”. This design featuring “Lady Liberty” has been hailed as the most beautiful coin ever struck by the U.S. Mint. Modern technology has finally provided Saint-Gaudens’ vision to be fully realized with this “ultra high relief” one ounce .9999 fine gold version previously considered impractical to produce. Presented is an amazing specimen designated by PCGS in the highest grade possible MS70. This truly perfect coin is offered complete with its original elegant Mint issued box and COA.
