Description

Offered is an eclectic mix of Americana ephemera including correspondence, almanacs, maps, pamphlets, indenture agreements, periodicals, manuals and bills of lading. Presenting in a range of preservation from excellent to poor these remarkable documents offer an insightful glimpse of life in an expanding nation. Highlighting this assortment is a War Department collection notice signed (“9” strength) by Tobias Lear, who served as George Washington’s personal secretary.
