In the circles of milestone event tickets, this June 14, 1952 Braves Field stub is rare on two fronts. First and foremost, it was issued for the contest between the Boston Braves and Chicago Cubs in which Hall of Fame southpaw Warren Spahn labored for 15 innings and fanned a (then) record 18 batters. Secondly, the “Box Seat” voucher was issued to one of only 3,053 spectators that day. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this is the lone graded example. The green-colored stub features printed seating/event details and the facsimile signature of Braves owner Lou Perini. The item presents nicely, though tape residue on the obverse accounts for the technical assessment.
