Issued to a spring training hopeful during the early-1990s, this New York Mets jacket features “NY” sewn in orange pile to a blue felt panel on the left breast, “RAMIREZ” embroidered in orange to white twill plates across the back and “65” embroidered to the right sleeve in like fashion. The left sleeve is home to the club's skyline-themed logo patch. The blue nylon button-down garment features orange-white-and-blue striped stretch ribbed knit along the collar, waistline and sleeve endings, while the collar’s interior is home to a “Starter” label and size ”XL” tag. Light wear is evident. We attribute the jacket to spring training, as nobody named “Ramirez” ever coached the club and of the two Mets players named “Ramirez” (Mario, 1980 and Ramon, 2011-2012), neither wore “65.”
