While the combatants’ Hall of Fame quarterbacks were shelved with injuries, the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Colts staged a memorable battle to decide the 1965 NFL Western Conference championship. This gameday program and ticket were issued at Green Bay’s New City Stadium on December 26, 1965 for that controversial contest. The 52-page publication is complete with black-and-white photos of the opponents, including legendary mentors Vince Lombardi and Don Shula. The guide presents nicely, with covers/pages completely intact and crease-free. The full ticket, meanwhile, presents minimally at the (EX) plateau and is accompanied by a stub from that same game.

In the game, the Colts held a 10-0 halftime advantage before the hosts came back to win in overtime. The Packers’ game-tying field goal in regulation was the subject of controversy as replays show it to have veered wide of the upright. This prompted extended uprights and positioning of officials just beneath.
