Bound for yet another campaign of 100-plus losses and last-place finish, the 1967 New York Mets unveiled 22-year-old Tom Seaver, who quickly helped in an “Amazin’” turnaround. This program was issued in Queens during the 1967 season-opening two-game series in which Seaver debuted. The 28-page guide’s front cover features a team logo and Shea Stadium likeness. Unmarked scoring grids list the Pirates and Mets rosters. Schedule details on page 15 definitively date the program to either April 11 or April 13, the latter marking Seaver’s debut.
