Overmatched in terms of capital, talent and fan base, the short-lived AAFC Miami Seahawks franchise lasted but one woeful season before the team was purchased and moved to Baltimore as the original incarnation of the Colts. Citing those details, this framed 1946 Seahawks collage features what are certain to be some of the most rare gridiron artifacts in the hobby. Framed to 36 x 26-1/4”, these items are scarce survivors not only of an upstart league that seemed doomed from the start, but from an ill-fated franchise hampered by a schedule that featured seven of the first eight games on the road. The items display nicely and include: Programs Sept. 6 at Cleveland; Oct. 25 at Brooklyn; Nov. 18 vs. Buffalo; Nov. 3 at New York. Symmetrically arranged tickets, a schedule and pinback surround a black-and-white photo to complete the display.
