The lone second baseman to earn back-to-back MVP plaudits, Hall of Famer Joe Morgan brought his championship demeanor to Philly in 1983, where he was issued and signed this Rawlings-Adirondack “369B” block-letter model bat. The uncracked (31.9-oz/34”) ash features a tan handle and a black “Smith” finish on the barrel. Between the center brand and barrel stampings, Morgan’s silver marker signature has faded and projects (“3-4”) strength (and is preceded by a personalization). No use is evident.
On the knob, the model number is accompanied by a handwritten weight notation, though the standard batch code and year stampings are absent. This is generally seen on bats produced for promotional purposes (though on occasion, some gamers are void of these identifiers). In the matter of this bat and its pristine condition, it is the belief of PSA/DNA that this is a professional model produced for promotional purposes during the referenced labeling period.
