Establishing himself as a fixture at third base, Ryan Zimmerman earned serious Rookie of the year consideration as two of his 20 home runs were of the “walk-off” variety during the 2006 campaign. This MAX Bat “RZ11” (31.7-oz/33-3/4”) block-letter model weapon was ably employed by the University of Virginia product during the 2006 and/or 2007 seasons in D.C. Graded GU 7 by PSA/DNA, the maple weapon sports a glossy black “Smith” finish and exhibits evidence of light game use. Uncracked, the lumber features ball and stitch impressions on the hitting surface, as well as a moderate coat of Mota Stick on the handle. The knob is home to a lathe mark and a gold marker notation of “11.” The cupped end shows inscriptions identifying the weight and length. Full photo LOA from John Taube, PSA/DNA.
